A Filipino slang word, loose meaning “ a place to hang out”. A favorite place to go, a place to hang out with friends, talk, play, games, drink, relax, sing, dance and have fun. And this is my TAMBAYAN, a place where my creativity happens.

Mixed Media Card
**Please visit My 1st Anniversary Giveway, Recipe Challenge and Card Challenge too, thanks!!"
I used watercolor paper to create these cards.
Can someone please tell me how to call this paper? *embarrased* It's a kind of heavy tissue paper use to wrap flowers. A mulberry paper? I don't know, I'm not sure...Anyways, I used this paper to create this "Happy Bee Day" card.
Prepare your sheet.
Lay a mask/stencil on top.
Mist with your favorite color spray ink.
Let it dry completely.
- watercolor paper - Michaels

- "bee" - altered BG chipboard letters. Just painted it with black and straw color from Ceramcoat by Delta
- "day" - American Crafts
- spray ink - Dylusions , cut grass color
- bee - cuttings from an old birthday card
Lay a mask/stencil on top.
I used tape to keep the stencil in place.
Apply ink.
For paint splatter, I mixed paint with a little amount of water .
Mix to get the water down consistency.
Splatter the paint down, tap your brush freely.
Let it dry completely.

Painted Background with Gesso
I had so much fun doing this. Sometimes it's good to get your hands dirty for fun.
Start with two white cardstock. No white cardstock? Hate to say this but this is true, sometimes I use the back of patterned paper (which I don't use or like or been in my stash forever)
Apply a fairly thick coat of gesso on one of the cardstock so you can see the texture when you are done. No precise brush strokes necessary, just play with it.
Using the other plain cardstock, cover the other cardstock (the one with the gesso)
Press, rub a little bit.
Open it slowly to get more texture on both side of the cardstock. Don't wait to long to open the cardstock, because the longer you wait, they might stick together and it will not easy to open.
Let it dry. Apply paint, again just play with it, have fun painting.
Sometimes, I use wet wipes to wipe off the paint in case I apply too much or if I want to have uneven effect and interesting looks.
If you want to add more colors, just let it dry first before you apply the next color.
Again, rub and play with the wet wipes.
And Voila! It's done!
